“Keeping Up With Emerging Technologies”

Michelle Saul-Yamasaki, Multi-media Production Specialist

Check out my new video of how I can help your company! With emerging technologies to take advantage of, your company needs a multi-media production specialist like me to actualize its potential. And you’ll also see how my internship with WHYY Friday Arts went. What are some emerging technologies you have noticed!?

Emerging Technologies are changing the way people interact and communicate with one another. It is up to businesses to take advantages of the multiple forms of media, especially video, and online and social media platforms to actualize their potential. My name is Michelle Saul-Yamasaki and I am the multimedia production specialist that can help your company across all of these platforms.

Dan Fuller talking on the Founding Fathers

Last month, I had the pleasure of video recording Dan Fuller’s talk on the “Moral and Ethical Leadership of the Founding Fathers” at the monthly breakfast meetings held by the South County BYU Management Society. This society is dedicated to the growing of Moral and Ethical Leadership. Dan Fuller gave an outstanding talk, on inspired men creating monumental history, and I suggest you watch his entire talk!

But first, you can start with the short video highlighting his introduction.

After that, he will have you hooked and you will want to listen to his full talk.

I hope you enjoy!

Check out the album of screen shots from the video at www.Facebook.com/Ponder Tree and like it while you are at it!

Today, I had the honor of video recording this months talk again on Winston Churchill by Judge Brett London. Pictures and Video coming soon!

Here is another awesome post by Michaelann Velicky, the Permaculture Designer that I interviewed in my “Deep Roots” video. I absolutely enjoy learning about her experiences with her farm and Queen Bees! Did you know that people sometimes have to re-queen their hives? I didn’t!

Elkins Park Front Yard Farm

This is what we did on Saturday:

…resulting in nearly 20 pounds of honey!

We have three hives and it’s time for an update. The honey is from the hive that came from a package which we bought from Jim Bobb early this spring. The hive sits pretty with four medium supers stacked up on the deep brood box. Stepladder time!

We have a hive that overwintered from last year. We purchased the original nuc from Warren Graham (Chester County Beekeepers Association). This strong hive swarmed on us in the spring and we ended up re-queening the hive. It was our good fortune that Mark Antunes of Montgomery County Beekeepers Association had a queen for us. The new queen is from the Minnesota Hygienic Queen strain. The hygienic queen was developed by Marla Spivak, a MacArthur Fellow.  With the swarm taking off; the population dropped dramatically. We…

Awesome Projects and Goals!

I know two great people who are doing amazing things… As I am working and spreading the word about my band’s, gladhappylove, Kickstarter fundraiser that gives rewards back to all donors…….. I would also like to spread the word about these two great people.

My Film and Media Arts professor, Rea Tajiri,

is making a new awesome movie and it focuses on the question of “What does it mean to own land?” It is a documentary about time, ghosts, and land ownership in a small New York town… it is meditative and environmental. And she is also raising money for her creative efforts. Check out her trailer! http://www.indiegogo.com/lordvillefilm I loved it!

And Geoff Belforti, a friend of mine who has been a protector of water from fracking, is also raising money, check out what he is up to… you may want to support him. Geoff says, “I’m taking the next step in my journey as an activist by going to Peru to learn permaculture and help to build rainwater cisterns/filtration systems+develop the soil for food production. If you can donate anything to my cause, or pass my page on to someone who can, I’d be forever grateful! Thanks for reading…”

Lyrics:

I have been waiting for so long now but I don’t know what I have been waiting for
I have been gone from now until then, looking for a girl who I could adore
I have been wandering around the streets of many towns, strumming this guitar in hand
When they hear me coming, they all turn to stare
But not many of them really understand
THAT I’M LIVING MY LIFE
AND I JUST NEED YOU TO BE NICE
I walked by and saw the smile in her eyes… and I knew that she might be the one
But knowing me… I’m not easy to please, so I set out to see if she was fun
We talked for hours and climber building towers, to see if we could be more than friends
She is gone for now but when she returns…
SHE’LL HAVE MY HEART UNTIL THE VERY END
AND I’M LIVING MY LIFE
AND I… I JUST NEED YOU TO BE NICE
